Shipmate Darvin Hensley Darvin D. Hensley joined the US Navy in May, 1954 and attended Boot Camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. He served onboard the USS Tioga County LST-1158, stationed at San Diego Naval Station, in the US Pacific Fleet. His Rating was SFM3, Ship Fitter Metalsmith and his Rank was Petty Officer 3rd Class. Today he is retired, and a cattle rancher in Worden, Illinois. He is happily married to Marilyn, with 6 children, 13 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.
